Esay German Semolina Pudding (Grießbrei ) recipe

German semolina pudding has a great vanilla and butter flavor and is puffy, not overly sweet, and incredibly delicious! It’s pretty simple to make. Semolina, milk, and a few other regular ingredients make yummy treats.

Grießbrei Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup semolina
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • sugar, cinnamon, and fresh fruit for topping
  • 2 tbsp. Granulated sugar
  •  a pinch of salt

Grießbrei Instruction:

  1. Mix milk, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a medium-sized saucepan. On the stovetop, bring the mixture to a boil while whisking constantly.
  2. When the milk reaches a rolling boil, turn off the heat and stir in the semolina.
  3. Return the pot to the hot burner, and while whisking constantly, allow the mixture to rise to a boil.
  4. When the samolina reaches a rolling boil, please turn off the heat, cover the pot, and let it stand for 5 minutes.
  5. After 5 minutes, use a wooden spoon to mix the semolina pudding in the pot until all clumps are gone.
