German semolina pudding has a great vanilla and butter flavor and is puffy, not overly sweet, and incredibly delicious! It’s pretty simple to make. Semolina, milk, and a few other regular ingredients make yummy treats.
Grießbrei Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup semolina
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- sugar, cinnamon, and fresh fruit for topping
- 2 tbsp. Granulated sugar
- a pinch of salt
Grießbrei Instruction:
- Mix milk, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a medium-sized saucepan. On the stovetop, bring the mixture to a boil while whisking constantly.
- When the milk reaches a rolling boil, turn off the heat and stir in the semolina.
- Return the pot to the hot burner, and while whisking constantly, allow the mixture to rise to a boil.
- When the samolina reaches a rolling boil, please turn off the heat, cover the pot, and let it stand for 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, use a wooden spoon to mix the semolina pudding in the pot until all clumps are gone.
- Put the semolina pudding in the dishes for serving. Add sugar and cinnamon, or use fresh fruit as a garnish. You can enjoy the pudding, warm or cold!
